Galaxy Digital (GLXY), owned by Michael Novogratz, has recruited Zac Prince as a managing director, according to an internal memo viewed by CoinDesk.
Prince will collaborate closely with Chris Ferraro, Galaxy's President, to broaden the company's digital assets portfolio.
Galaxy is of the opinion that cryptocurrency is on the brink of a "crucial phase of transformation," and has hired Prince to help materialize the company's strategic goals, as stated in the memo.
Prince joins Galaxy from RE Cost Seg, a real estate consultancy firm, where he served as CEO for the past year.

Prince is a prominent figure in the crypto industry. He was previously the CEO and co-founder of BlockFi, a now-bankrupt crypto lending platform.
In December, Galaxy announced the appointment of Anthony Paquette, former chief financial officer of Point72, to serve in the same capacity at the crypto financial services firm.
