Shell Sets Record Peak Following Binance Listing Announcement on February 27

The native token of MyShell, SHELL, hits a new record high following Binance's announcement of an airdrop event before the token's listing on Feb. 27.

Binance has announced an airdrop event for users through Binance HODLer in anticipation of its SHELL listing. Users of Binance who have BNB (BNB) subscribed to Simple Earn and/or On-Chain Yields products from Feb. 14 until Feb. 18 will be eligible to receive SHELL tokens from the Binance airdrop event.

The airdrop is set to occur on Feb. 27, approximately one hour prior to the start of trading. MyShell's native token will be officially listed on Binance beginning Feb. 27 at 13:00 UTC. Trading will be available for SHELL with Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Binance Coin, First Digital USD (FDUSD), and Try.Finance trading pairs.

After the announcement of the Binance listing, SHELL quickly reached a new all-time high of $0.68, increasing by more than 35% in the past 24 hours of trading. As of now, SHELL is being traded at a price of $0.65, with an increase of over 30%.

In the past week, SHELL has risen by nearly 60% and has increased by 36% in the past hour. MyShell's token has a market capitalization of $175 million and a fully diluted valuation of $650 million.

Launched just in February 2025, Binance is adding the seed tag to SHELL. The seed tag is typically applied to newer projects to notify users of potentially higher trading risks compared to more established tokens on the exchange. SHELL will be available for trading on the Ethereum (ETH) network and BNB Chain.

Binance has set aside 25 million SHELL tokens for the HODLer Airdrop event, which is approximately 2.5% of the initial total token supply. There will be 270 million SHELL tokens in circulation on Binance upon listing. Additionally, there will be a second airdrop event at the end of the third month with the same number of tokens allocated.

As per MyShell's tokenomics, 30% of the token supply has been designated for community incentives, 29% has been allocated to a private sell event with a one-year cliff and a 3-year unlocking period. Moreover, 1% has been allocated for the Binance Wallet airdrop along with the 5% set aside for the Binance HODLer airdrop.

SHELL is a governance token that fuels the MyShell ecosystem, providing holders access to the platform's premium features, enabling creator support, and facilitating payments.
